AI Engineer

What you will contribute
Reporting into the Global AI Director, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer is a hands-on technical role responsible for designing, developing and deploying end-to-end AI solutions, with a strong focus on Generative AI, Agentic AI and LLM-based applications.
With background in Machine Learning and/or Deep Learning, the role ensures the selection of the most appropriate technical approaches to solve concrete business problems. The AI Engineer contributes directly to building Fluidra’s AI platform from the ground up, transforming business opportunities into scalable, production-ready AI solutions that deliver measurable business value.
The position combines strong technical execution, autonomy and continuous experimentation, applying innovative AI advancements in a pragmatic and enterprise-ready manner
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze business problems and translate them into effective AI-driven solutions.
• Assess and decide on the most appropriate AI approach (Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Generative AI, Agentic AI or hybrid solutions) to solve each use case in the most efficient and scalable way.
• Hands on AI & engineering: deliver end-to-end AI use cases from experimentation and prototyping to production.
• Ensure AI solutions meet performance, robustness and scalability requirements.
• Deploy AI solutions into production environments in collaboration with IT teams.
• Support model monitoring, retraining and lifecycle management.
• Adhere to architectural, security and governance standards defined by the AI Architect.
• Continuously explore and evaluate new AI techniques, models and tools.
• Assess the applicability and efficiency of emerging AI advancements in a corporate environment.
• Contribute to proofs of concept and technical evaluations.
• Share insights and technical recommendations.
Scope: Corporate-wide AI initiatives across manufacturing, commercial, supply chain, IoT and corporate function as IT, Finance, HR.
What we seek
Education
• Master’s degree from an accredited institution, with degree preferred in Computer Science or Information Technology, mathematics, physics or similar technological field (advanced degree preferred).
• Cloud & AI platform certifications (AWS, Microsoft or Google) appreciated
Experience
• Experienced in Industrial / Manufacturing companies desirable
• 5+ years of professional experience working in Artificial Intelligence
• At least 3+ background as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer. Hands-on experience with Machine Learning, Deep Learning and/or Computer Vision
• From 1–2 years of hands-on experience with Generative AI / Agentic systems applied to real business use cases.
• Experience in corporate or consulting environments
Skills
• Strong hands-on AI and data science skills
• Hands on experience on LLM ecosystems (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Bedrock, Hugging Face), advanced prompt engineering techniques and agentic frameworks
• Experience with Langchain, LangGraph or similar.
• Knowledge of agentic protocols (A2A, MCP)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Pragmatic, focused on business value.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Determination and proactivity, ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong team player mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to move from experimentation to production.
• High level of curiosity and continuous learning mindset
Languages
• English and Spanish at proficiency level
• German and or French desirable
