Master Data Specialist (Temporary, possibility of becoming permanent)

Mission:
To ensure that master data within your domain is accurate, compliant, consistent, high-quality, and fully aligned with Fluidra’s global data governance framework, enabling reliable operations, analytics, and strategic decision-making.
Your responsibilities:
Governance & Standards
- Define and own the global data standards, naming conventions, mandatory fields, business rules, and validation logic.
- Maintain the domain’s data dictionary, glossary, and RACI model.
- Approve exceptions and escalate breaches to the Governance Council.
- Lead the annual governance review of standards and policies.
Data Quality & Risk Management
- Own DQ KPIs, dashboards, acceptance criteria, RCA methodology, and corrective action plans.
- Ensure alignment with SAP MDG rule types (validation, derivation, enrichment).
- Approve data quality thresholds and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Lifecycle Governance
- Define the Master Data lifecycle model (e.g., creation, extension, modification, retirement).
- Collaborate with Product Management on SKU lifecycle / phase-out triggers.
- Ensure governance compliance throughout the lifecycle.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as primary decision-maker for the domain.
- Partner with Global Marketing on naming standards and product governance.
- Ensure alignment with Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Operations.
- Lead global stakeholder working groups & participate in MDM Governance Council.
SAP MDG Workflow Oversight
- Approve workflow steps requiring Data Owner intervention.
- Provide requirements for new workflows and enhancements.
- Ensure operational teams follow standards and SOPs.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain SOPs, governance playbooks, escalation paths, and controls.
- Support internal audit, SOX, ESG, and compliance requirements.
- Protect data integrity and traceability.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a positive attitude and the following:
- 5–8 years of experience in MDM, Data Governance, Product Data, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of SAP MDG, SAP ECC/S4, workflow rules, and integrations.
- Demonstrated experience in data governance frameworks and DQ management.
- Solid understanding of product lifecycle, procurement, finance, or BP processes depending on domain.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders (VP/Director level).
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred.
- Certifications in DAMA, DCAM, SAP MDG, BI, or Data Governance are a plus.
