Mission:
The Lead Financial Analyst for Global Procurement is a strategic role responsible for driving financial excellence and operational efficiency across the procurement organization. This professional will play a vital part in shaping financial strategies, supporting critical decision-making, and ensuring the integrity and transparency of financial data. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and act as a trusted advisor to both finance and procurement teams.
Your responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Lead the preparation of Monthly Cost and Productivity Variance reports, oversee the annual budgeting process, and manage monthly forecasting for designated procurement systems.
- Controls & Compliance: Monitor and enhance internal controls and performance metrics to maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and efficiency standards.
- Data Validation & Forensic Analysis: Conduct comprehensive reviews of financial data to ensure accuracy and consistency with the general ledger, and perform forensic analysis to identify financial trends and drivers.
- Performance Tracking: Identify leading and lagging financial indicators, document key financial highlights, and track progress against budget and established benchmarks.
- Closing Processes: Support month-end and annual closing activities by performing variance analysis and reconciling financial results to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Benchmarking & Analytics: Develop and maintain benchmarks for critical business drivers, providing actionable insights to improve procurement productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Respond to evolving business needs by conducting ad hoc financial analyses and presenting findings to leadership.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process and control improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and overall financial performance.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable rules and regulations.
- Additional Duties: Take on other responsibilities as assigned to support the finance and procurement teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within global procurement or supply chain operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analytics tools, and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High ethical standards and commitment to compliance and confidentiality.
