Mission:
The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for the overall Quality of Fluidra Certified Suppliers in EMEA Manufacturing Division. The SQE works with internal Supply Chain and Suppliers to continuously improve performance through driving and facilitating problem solving, implementing process controls, promoting risk mitigation, and developing quality assurance plans. The SQE uses data to improve performance of key components and suppliers and identify continual improvement opportunities.
This position requires communication and leadership skills that would enable the SQE to drive major Quality improvement projects with cross-functional teams not only with Suppliers but also including Fluidra personnel from Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain as well.
Your responsibilities:
- Execution of Corporate Quality Vision set by the EMEA Quality Director.
- Drive Quality initiatives at assigned Key Suppliers, improving Quality performance through Effective Problem Solving and other Fluidra Quality tools and concepts.
- Implement, drive/manage Approved Vendor List including Supplier Qualification and Disqualification processes.
- Develop positive relationships and work closely with Sourcing Leaders to manage and implement Supplier/Engineering changes, New Product Introductions, and Product Transfers.
- Evaluation of Supplier Production Part Approval Process and First Article reports / submissions.
- Ownership of Supplier Quality Scorecard including key metrics, such as first pass yield, PPM defect rate, Supplier Quality plan engagement/effectiveness, and Corrective & Preventative Action dates to closure.
- Process and Systems Audits of key Suppliers ensuring Supplier compliance, and development of improvement plans where deficiencies are documented.
- Source Inspection of critical components to print / standard requirements at Sub-Tier Suppliers.
- Provide Advanced Quality Engineering support during new product introduction using APQP methodology or similar NPI/NPD models.
- Provide technical expertise to Customers / Suppliers in solving technical problems.
- Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives with key suppliers.

Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, or Quality related discipline or equal experience in Advanced Customer Quality role.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a Manufacturing, Quality, or Sourcing environment.
- Certified Quality Auditor or Quality Engineer preferred.
- Experience as an Auditor working with Supplier Quality Standards and Process Audits.
- Experience with 8D (RCCA) and/or AIAG Effective Problem Solving models.
- Experience using AIAG tools and concepts (Control Plan, PFMEA, MSA, Layered Process Audits, etc.).
- Common knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, electronics, and/or assembly; and how QC applies to these processes.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
