Senior Project Manager - SAP Master Data Management

Mission:
We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to manage and coordinate the end-to-end implementation of master data management (MDM) processes within the SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) framework.
This includes defining business rules, establishing data governance structures, and coordinating with technical teams to ensure successful delivery of the master data solution.
Your responsibilities:
- Project Management
- Oversee the implementation of master data management processes within the SAP MDG environment.
- Develop and execute the project plan, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Align MDM activities with broader business transformation objectives.
- Identify dependencies across functional, technical, and business teams.
- Manage risks and issues associated with master data implementation.
- Data Governance and Business Rules
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define master data business rules, standards, and policies.
- Establish and lead data governance frameworks, including roles, responsibilities, and approval workflows.
- Ensure the alignment of master data definitions and processes with organizational goals.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the main point of contact between business users, data stewards, and technical teams.
- Facilitate workshops to gather requirements, validate solutions, and ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Provide regular updates to senior management and project stakeholders on progress, risks, and mitigations.
- Technical Collaboration
- Work closely with the technical team to ensure proper configuration, customization, and deployment of SAP MDG.
- Oversee the integration of master data processes with other SAP modules and external systems.
- Validate that technical deliverables align with business requirements and governance standards.
- Testing and Quality Assurance
- Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) for master data processes and SAP MDG configurations.
- Ensure data quality and consistency through validation and cleansing activities.
- Documentation: Manage and ensure comprehensive documentation of integration processes, workflows, and configurations for future reference and audits.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a positive attitude and the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in global SAP implementations, with a focus on S/4HANA Cloud (private or public) preferred.
- Proven experience in SAP MDG implementations, including defining business rules and data governance structures.
- Excellent project management skills, including experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) - planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Effective communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Full professional proficiency in both English and Spanish.
- Deep understanding of master data concepts, including data quality, governance, and lifecycle management.
- Strong knowledge of SAP MDG functionality and integration capabilities.
Preferred Skills:
- SAP certification in relevant modules.
- Experience with change management and organizational readiness.
- Familiarity with data migration strategies and tools.
- Determination and proactivity, ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to work in multicultural and diverse environments.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, ambiguity and rapidly changing environment.
